Brand Story:
- The 8Zed brand is Australian owned by WallCann’s Wallace and Canning families and was created as a proof of concept brand in the electronics domain.
- The proof of concept was to offer manufacturers an opportunity to use the WallCann 365 sales hub to quickly and economically build their brand and sales in a global market.
- The WallCann 365 sales hub offers efficiencies in marketing reach so that manufacturers can quickly build their ROI.
- Ultimately, consumers are able to easily access a quality product (in this case electronic niche range) at a reduced distribution and marketing cost without the manufacturer needing to sacrifice margins
- WallCann offers 8Zed products at much lower prices compared to real estate bound retailers. There are no big distribution overhead’s required. All products are factory direct, but most importantly WallCann builts a product application knowledge base, warranty and customer service centre. So WallCann 365 offers a great service and more repeat business whilst maintaining healthy operating margins.
- WallCann Pty Ltd has partnered with ZBE China, to manufacture a power inverter range under the 8Zed brand to be sold in the Australian and American markets.
- WallCann continues to work directly on new product development with ZBE engineers
- The ZBE production for 8Zed is in modern facilities and the manufacturer continues to invest in developing better manufacturing technology.
- The 8Zed brand of power inverters are built specifically for the tough Australian conditions to Australian design specifications with high performance components.
What was accomplished:
- WallCann built a B2B site operating on WallCann 365 sales hub to wholesale the 8Zed brand that is now supplied to organisations such as Australian Dept Defence, various state Police and mining companies.
- WallCann built Performanceshop B2C on WallCann 365 sales hub to retail 8Zed brand. The 8Zed brand now dominates relevant key search terms and phrases on google occupying between 20% to 30% of page 1 searches
- Sales leapt from zero to $30,000 sales per month for a small niche product line that received minimal investment. This product became a WallCann cash cow within 6 months of launch.
- At current growth trajectory and without any further investment the sales will increase to $90,000 per month by July 2011. Growth will rapidly increase with continued investment into Australian and American advertising and distribution fulfilment.
- The 8Zed Brand has gained a good reputation since launch, during which time WallCann and ZBE engineers worked together to improve manufacturing processes, design and performance.
- All of 8Zed product stock is held in WallCann fulfilment warehouse in Adelaide, thus enabling 8Zed to offer fast and reliable delivery of products.
- 8Zed TV advertising, digital out door media marketing added to the full mix of search engine marketing, has assisted to build brand awareness and sales in Australia and USA.
- WallCann resellers and advocates were able to reap the benefits and profits from the 8Zed Online and Offline Media campaign.
